Phoenix Food Shop is currently operating from 20-22 Gloucester Place, BN1 4AA on Wednesdays, 11.00am to 12.30pm. This is due to renovation work taking place at our usual venue at Phoenix Community Centre. The Community Centre will reopen in late autumn 2026. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Quality Food, Affordable Prices
For a small payment each week, members of the scheme receive a great-value, subsidised shop, including a wide variety of produce. Our bags vary from week to week depending on what food is available. A typical bag includes: a range of fruit and vegetables, tinned goods, bread, pasta, oats, cereals and meats or a vegetarian alternative.

We are a volunteer group of local residents who are working towards making food accessible and affordable for our local community. Our services are not means tested. We are supported by the local council and through partnerships with non-profit organisations within Brighton and Hove.
